Grundfos India showcases its innovative pumping solutions at Smart Cities India Expo 2015

New Delhi, May 25, 2015 – Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. (Grundfos India) one of India’s leading pump manufacturers, participated at the Smart Cities India Expo 2015. The event scheduled from May 20 to May 22, 2015 provided a common forum for the stakeholders who are developing smart cities to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this ambitious project by the Government of India.

Considering Grundfos’ focus on sustainability, the company’s pumps are designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century. With an increase in demand and limited resources, Grundfos pumps precisely provide the right solution by ensuring minimum utilization of energy and water while delivering optimal results. Grundfos has an impressive range of solar pumps which help overcome the dependence on grid power for water supply. Being energy-efficient, the pumps also have lower operational costs.

Grundfos India showcased a few of its technologically advanced pump solutions such as Demand Driven Distribution (DDD), S Pump and Grundfos Remote Management (GRM). True to the needs of a smart society, Grundfos pumps are innovative, cutting-edge and user-friendly.

Grundfos Demand Driven Distribution is a multi-pump solution operating at proportional pressure, where the system is designed to supply precisely the flow needed at the pressure required, with a number of pumps running at best efficiency point, instead of one big pump. Along with a good system for water supply, the smart cities also need an equally efficient sewage system. Grundfos’ S pumps are used for applications such as transfer of unscreened raw sewage and raw water, and pumping of water containing sludge and industrial effluents. With the critical role of internet technology envisaged for smart cities, Grundfos offers an intelligent technology in the form of Grundfos Remote Management. The Grundfos Remote Management is a secure, internet-based system for monitoring and managing pump installations in commercial buildings, water supply networks, wastewater plants, etc.

Commenting on the occasion, Sanjeev Sirsi, Head - Water Utility, Grundfos India, said, “Grundfos has always been a forerunner in pioneering smart pump technologies which are sustainable. We are confident that our energy efficient and reliable solutions will be the ideal choice for the smart cities project and we look forward to partner with reputed stakeholders for the same.”
