Fan coil

A fan coil is used to heat or cool down air in many different types of locations, for example; in production areas in the food industry, warehouses, offices, supermarkets, etc.

Since it does not have any ductwork, a fan coil unit is used to control the temperature only in the space where it is installed.

A fan coil is used to heat or cool down air in many different types of locations, for example; in production areas in the food industry, warehouses, offices, supermarkets, etc.

Since it does not have any ductwork, a fan coil unit is used to control the temperature only in the space where it is installed. It is normally controlled by a thermostat.

Due to their simplicity, fan coil units are more economic to install than ducted or central cooling or heating systems. However, they can be noisy because its fan is within the same space.

A fan coil is a device consisting of a cooling or heating coil, a fan and is equipped with an air filter. The fan circulates air over the coil which either heats or cools down the air before reinjection.

Fan coil and air cooler are more or less synonymous, although the term air cooler is more widely used in industrial installations.
