Dr. K. Rosaiah, the honorable Governor of Tamilnadu, launched a book titled, “Global Warming: Information pack for schools in India” for school kids in Raj Bhavan on 5th March 2013. The initiative was taken by Grundfos Pumps India and K – 12 team of ISHRAE for school children to get educated on global warming and its effects on environment.
Grundfos India through this book, wants to appeal to the schools to educate the kids on the effects of global warming; activate some of the best practices to help reducing and advocate effective principles to curb it. The book educates kids on the causes of the global warming, a look at the greenhouse gases which are causing global warming, their effects and ways to cut them down. It has given out measures to balance the environment and also talks on the initiatives to stop global warming.
The samples were distributed to few school kids by the honorable Governor of Tamilnadu Dr. K. Rosaiah after the launch. After a successful launch; Grundfos India aims to distribute the books to 25,000 school students in India so that the message can be spread awareness gets reached to the maximum children possible.
Mr. Ranganath said "Climate friendly solutions are the need of the hour and we at Grundfos India have addressed this need in every possible way. It is imperative to act now and the best way to do it is to educate the young minds, the future generations about the urgent need to save our most precious resource. We trust that Global Warming: Information pack for schools in India booklet will be an efficient tool in getting the message across to young children. These young minds will definitely have a new perspective on the need for preserving water and henceforth act in the better interest of our environment, guaranteeing a greener future in the process."
