Juice production is in all its essence about taste and texture, which make Grundfos' pumps ideal for every process step – from concentration to reconstitution.
The concentration process requires pumps made from stainless steel to handle the aggressive juice concentrate. Grundfos is also capable of supplying the robust pumps for the washing plant where the fruits are initially cleaned before the juice is extracted from them.
During the concentration process, single-stage centrifugal pumps transport the watery juice to and from the centrifugal separators where the extract is gradually made stronger. Depending on the viscosity of the juice, lobe pumps may be used for gently moving the media without ruining the texture.
Finally, in the reconstitution process the concentrate is gently moved to the mixing tank using a lobe pump. Once the juice is finished, a single-stage centrifugal pump transports the finished product to the filling station.
Naturally, all Grundfos pumps are CIP-compatible, allowing tanks and pipes to be efficiently cleaned without having to dismantle any equipment – which quickly prepares the production line for the next batch.
|Aggressive media, such as juice may damage the pump.||Grundfos pumps are available in stainless steel, designed to handle aggressive media and prolong the life of the pump.|
|Hygiene is important in juice production.||All Grundfos sanitary pumps are CIP-compatible, allowing tanks, pipes and process lines to be efficiently cleaned without having to dismantle the equipment. Precise dosing pumps speed up the CIP-process by adding only the necessary detergent, consequently reducing the flushing of the system. Every CIP-system is followed by a self-priming pump, that removes every last drop of detergent in tanks and pipes.|
